History
Pacific Edge was formed in February 2001 with the goal of developing simple-to-use, non-invasive, highly accurate diagnostic and prognostic tools for cancer. As a result of a successful research and product development programme, Pacific Edge currently has a pipeline of products for the early detection, and/or management of targeted cancers.

| May 2005 | Technology for Business Growth grant of over $1 million awarded for development of gastric cancer tool. |
| May 2004 | Heads of Agreement signed with large Japanese pharmaceutical company. |
| December 2003 | Formal negotiations initiated with major Japanese pharmaceutical companies to co-develop and commercialise gastric and bladder cancer markers. |
| July 2003 | Comprehensive patent application for potential gastric cancer diagnostic markers filed in the United States. |
| February 2003 | Completion of IPO. |
| February 2002 | Pacific Edge Biotechnology lists on the NZ Stock Exchange. |
| January 2002 | PEB fully staffed with 10 FTEs.
World Class Scientific Advisory Board established. |
| August 2001 | PEB established with NZ Seed Fund as its cornerstone shareholder and initial capital raising completed. |
| February 2001 | PEB incorporated as a company. |
| February 2001 | Intellectual Property identified and agreed to be acquired from the University of Otago. |
