Regarding 6 Dec 2009 Sunday Star Times Article

With regard to the article published in theĀ  Sunday Star times, 6th December, on the new Bladder Cancer Detection Test currently in development by Pacific Edge Biotechnology Ltd in Dunedin.

We would like to clarify, for the purposes of avoiding any possible confusion that;

  1. The analysis of the clinical trial that defines the clinical performance of this new test is currently being completed and is expected out at the end of December.
  2. The research results reported are correct however they are for the initial research carried on the test and not the results of the clinical trial. These research results were published last year in a urological Journal as a peer reviewed science paper.

Research Agreement with the Ludwig Institute and Presentation to American Society of Clinical Oncology Announced

Today Pacific Edge Biotechnology issued a press release announcing signing of a collaborative research agreement with the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. Promising early results for an aggressive melanoma test will be presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meeting.

View a recent TV newsitem about a new melanoma test from Pacific Edge. Scientists say the disease is hard to treat, but the melanoma test they’re developing would make it easier to find the most effective treatment.

The test, being developed in a collaboration with Dunedin company Pacific Edge Biotechnology, has passed the first development phase with flying colours.
