What we do

Pacific Edge Biotechnology develops diagnostic and prognostic tools for a range of cancers. These tools are based on unique gene and protein signatures which we have identified from a combination of molecular biology, gene expression microarray and proteomics skills, operating on world class tissue banks and clinical data. We mine information using proprietary analytical software. Pacific Edge is currently focused on melanoma, gastric, bladder and colorectal cancer and has tools for bladder and colorectal cancers to go to clinical trials in 2007. We have further early detection tools in development for endometrial and prostate cancers.

We have advanced our commercialisation strategy, from an initial focus on discovery with early licensing, to include the clinical trial phase of development. Clinical trials underpin the regulatory approval process and therefore add significant extra value.

Pacific Edge's strategy for revenue generation is to license out to commercialisation partners who have the capability to obtain regulatory approval, manufacture, market and distribute within the area for which their license is granted. The Australasian territory will be commercialised by Pacific Edge.
